Training

Taking on a new technical tool is a long-term commitment. Becoming “a coder” or “an excellent Tableau developer” is something that honestly takes years of solid effort. You need both the passion to stick with it and also the support of management, that the benefits in the future are going to outweigh the delays of the “teething period”.

No single whole-day course (no matter how expensive it is) is going to get you there. Rather a full day is going to solidly exhaust you and result in you forgetting half the content that was presented.

I like to structure my training with digestible half-days, as well as online training content and on-going on-call support for when you get road-blocked and just don’t have the time to spend half a day figuring it out for yourself (hard-learned lessons are hard to forget).
